Our Home Selling Process
SELECT YOUR AGENT
The Home Selling Process has a lot of steps to consider. Finding the perfect agent can help you save time and sell for more money.
ONLINE VALUATION
When considering selling, online valuation sites can be helpful to get an idea of what your home is worth compared to others in the area.
MARKET ANALYSIS
When you get serious, reach out to your Realty Resource agent to help you with a comparative market analysis and advice on how to prepare the home.
PREPARING TO SELL
The picture-perfect home will sell for more. Work with your agent to determine what you need to do to your home, if anything to prepare it for sale. We can advise on as-is sales, staging, or full or partial renovations.
THE LISTING AGREEMENT
Once you and your home are ready to sell, you will sign a listing agreement with your listing agent. This will detail what your agent is going to do for you, the asking price, and the commission.
MARKETING YOUR HOME
The next step is marketing your home to the fullest. This generally entails photos, videos, listing on the internet, showings, and open houses. Your agent will keep you updated and discuss showing feedback with you.
FROM CONTRACT TO CLOSING
As offers come in, your agent will explain them to you and assist in negotiations. Once you have a contract, they will coordinate inspections, repairs, and appraisals.
CLOSING PROCESS
Your agent will help you plan out your closing. You can do this in person at the title company, a virtual notary can come to you, or you can even close online.
GIVING POSSESSION
Your agent will help you arrange keys and access to your home’s new owner.
